Why our readers love us

At Crumpled Papers Indie Literary Press, we pride ourselves on the quality of our publications and the engaging stories we bring to our readers. Our books are crafted with care, and our authors know how to plant a hook into the plot, ensuring an unforgettable reading experience. Here's what some of our readers have to say about our press.

Ben is married to Ellen and they have a little son, Johnny. But Ben isn't Johnny's father. Whose child is he really? In the course of the story the character of Johnny gets eerier and eerier. Sometimes I had to think about Damien Thorne. What is Johnny up to? Will our three main characters see a happy ending and what about the burning tree? This book is creeping up on you. There are many extremely uncanny scenes and Johnny will scare the hell out of you. I really enjoyed this creepy novellete. It's compelling and to the point. Recommended!

Peter - Goodreads - The Burning Tree

Rory Dwane puts a family through the wringer in The Burning Tree! Ben Wells begins to realize that there’s something very wrong at home, and that his family is being threatened by something unnatural. Dwane fantastically instills that sense of creeping dread as the novella moves forward, that horrid sense that something bad is about to happen! I loved it, especially with Dwane’s excellent descriptions and characters to care about! If you’re looking for a ‘haunted family’ story with a twist, come dive into Dwane’s nightmare!

Joshua Grant - Goodreads - The Burning Tree

The adventure of ominous is a young adult/ teen book and is filled with the adventures of a famous Ominous Crane who retells his stories with his grandson.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rating: 4 out of 5.

While I read along and loved the tale itself, I wasn’t a big fan of the illustrations in between the content or the way they were placed. Ominous Crane is exciting, enjoyable, and humorous. The literature is geared to the correct age range, and the dialogue also represents this matter.

If you are into trolls, dragons, and creatures that are mysterious, then you will like this book. I always believe that stories similar to this one come from a good place of heart, so I recommend it to teens and young readers.
